Unlock Scott/Tiger Account In Oracle| Step By step Guide

Installing Oracle is simple task But how to work on Oracle database with Default Username and password is quite difficult.
Generally Oracle users Knew that Default USERNAME/ Password is SCOTT/TIGER. But after installing the Oracle a error is raised that the account is locked. Even We have to Unlock the Default account.[ At the end of downloading the software ,there will be a tab or button called Password Management .when we click that button ,then it will show all the users that we can run on Oracle..SCOTT username will be also there ,you just have to untick the USERNAME scott in that table.]

For this we have to run certain Commands.

Let us SEE how to do this :

Step 1: Open the Command Prompt From Start Icon and type "sqlplus" in it.Now you will be entered Into a DataBase Section.

Step 2 : Now There will be command like
Enter User name.Here Enter "sys as sysdba" and Press Enter
again a command will be prompted like
Enter Password leave it and press ENTER .
Check the given figure.

Step 3 : Now Its will Indicate " connected Oracle Database".

and "SQL>" sign will given to write a query.

Step 4 : Now Enter after

"SQL> alter User scott account unlock;" and press ENTER.

It will say USER altered.

Step 5 : Now write after

"SQL>conn Scott/tiger" and press ENTER.

Check the given figure.

Step 6 : After Pressing Enter it will show a error like Password has expired and it will give option to type the new password .

Here you can type NEW password as TIGER again.

After typing password it will say password changed and Connected. Check the given figure.

That's it Now you can successfully run Your Queries and Complete your programs.
